مجلة علمية محكمة صادرة عن هيئة علمية موقرة وتناقش تلك المجلة كل مايهم الباحث فيما يتعلق باللغة العربية والقضايا ذات الصلة
كما يعقد مجمع اللغة مؤتمر مرة كل عام لمدة أسبوعين متواليين. ويجوز مدها بقرار من رئيس المجمع. وقد جرى العرف المجمعي على أن يبدأ انعقاد المؤتمر في يوم الاثنين الأخير من شهر فبراير ( شباط )، ويمتد إلى خمسة عشر يومًا. وتكون جلسة افتتاحه علنية، وسائر جلساته مغلقة ينظر فيها ما أقره المجلس من أعمال لجان المجمع، ويناقش ما أعده الأعضاء من بحوث.
